• Overseeing the management of the RAI MDS Program, including managing RAI Coordinators to ensure RAI MDS program mandate, standards and resident care needs are implemented effectively and the program is optimized.
• Ensuring that information obtained by nursing team members is available to the resident care team, resident and family, in a professional manner consistent with organization’s policies and procedures for maintaining confidentiality of information.
• Planning, coordinating, directing and monitoring the effectiveness of all operational activities within the nursing department.
• Establishing, implementing, and maintaining an effective quality and risk management system for the nursing department to ensure legislative regulations and standards are met.

As a Concierge your typical day will impact in the following ways:

• Responding to all resident and visitor enquiries as their first priority in a diplomatic manner, utilizing problem solving and complaint resolution skills and ensures all complaints are forwarded to the General Manager in writing.
• Promoting excellent customer service in all personal interactions with visitors, families, residents and team members.
• Greeting all visitors to the building and ensures that their needs are addressed ina pleasant and unhurried fashion and conducts mini tours in accordance withpolicies and procedures.
• Providing clerical and computer support to all managers as requested.
• Completing required records to support cash transactions related to the sale ofguest and team member meal vouchers / tickets.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) is accountable for the provision of optimum care services based on legislative requirements and the organization standards, policies and procedures and assumes responsibility for oversight of the guest attendants. This role may also assist with dining service, recreation program support and common area housekeeping in varying locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain accountability for the nursing and personal care of residents within the scope of training and license.
• Administers medications as prescribed in accordance with pharmacy policies & procedures and observes changes in condition and reports them to the Director of Wellness.
• Facilitates problem solving of resident / family concerns or complaints that arise and ensures complaints are communicated to the Director of Wellness / General Manager.
• Oversees the Guest Attendants to ensure that care assignments are completed and that changes in residents needs are reported to the Director of Wellness.
• Monitors team member compliance with the policy on monitoring resident well-being and ensures follow-up is completed as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Guest Attendant your typical day will impact in the following ways:

• Answering all resident call bells and door alarms promptly and provides courteous service.
• Completing all aspects of resident care as outlined in the plan of care and care assignment.
• Transporting residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office and dining room as required.
• Completing laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignments.
• Dealing tactfully and courteously with residents, residents' families and reports any concerns / complaints to the supervisor.
• Practicing safe food handling techniques throughout all aspects of food preparation and service.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Housekeeper performs general housekeeping activities within the established guidelines for health and safety, infection control and quality management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receives assignment, assembles required materials and supplies, loads service cart and transports to work area.
• Using specified cleaning/disinfecting/sanitizing agents, and follow specific procedures, work patterns and routines, performs such tasks as: (but not limited to)

1. Resident Room Cleaning as per assigned schedule.
2. Sweeping, dry/wet mopping.
3. Vacuuming and shampooing carpets, wax floor care.
4. Spot cleaning walls, windows and doors.
5. Dusting and sanitizing/disinfecting furniture, shelves, woodwork, etc.
6. Emptying wastebasket.
7. Rearranging furniture.
8. Daily cleaning and disinfecting of all bathroom floors, fixtures, walls and replenishing supplies.

• Ensures privacy of residents during performance of duties.
• Prepares room for new occupant following prescribed procedures to ensure tour ready at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Cook is accountable for optimal foods services, food production, plate presentation and the hospitality needs of the residents in accordance with infection control, quality management, legislative requirements and the organization standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparing food in accordance with the regular and therapeutic menu, the standardized recipes for the home and meets time requirements for meal times.
• Assisting in serving meals following residents’ diets using appropriate serving utensils and portion sizes to residents (by name of resident).
• Follows daily production charts, standardized recipes and daily composite menus, while working within a set budget.
• Completes all necessary documentation (food and refrigeration temperatures, dish machine temperatures if applicable, menu changes) as assigned.
• Ensures use of proper and safe food handling techniques.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Registered Practical Nurse is accountable for the provision of optimum care services related to resident care needs, delivery of skilled procedures, medication administration and documentation in accordance with quality management, legislative requirements and the organization standards

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides for nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of a RPN.
• Creates a comfortable and safe environment that provides opportunities for privacy, dignity, autonomy, independence and individuality and maintenance of personal lifestyle and values.
• Fostering an atmosphere that is conducive to the provision of optimal care, and the effective functioning of the assigned Resident Home Area through collaboration with other team members, monitoring resident care, communicating with residents and family members, and providing guidance to Personal Support Workers/Unregulated staff assigned to the care unit.
• Liaises with medical staff, nurse specialists, consultants and supports effective clinical care for all residents.
• Demonstrates professional working knowledge of all equipment used in the delivery of nursing care.

The Director of Wellness is accountable to the General Manager for the supervision of optimum care services based on legislative requirements, the organization standards, policies and procedures and the facilitation of the annual staff development program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure resident care needs are assessed; plan of care developed and determine corresponding care fees and staffing requirements as applicable. 
• Monitors all resident incidents and directs staff regarding interventions to prevent reoccurrence as applicable.
• Responsible for recruitment, selection, orientation, development and performance management of Guest Attendants, Uncertified Care Providers and Registered Practical Nurses.
• Develop professional and collaborative relationships with hospital staff, participate in marketing outreach such as presentations on wellness services and aging in place philosophy and interviews prospective residents and conducts assessments to determine suitability for admission.
• Participates in the preparation of the Department budget and administers the approved budget within established parameters.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Server is accountable to support all aspects of hospitality style dining room service to meet the needs of the Residents in accordance with legislative requirements and company standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for all aspects of hospitality style dining service utilizing the Ready, Set, Serve Program as it applies to the serveries area, setting, serving and cleaning tables.
• Assists with the preparation and presentation of food under the direction of the Chef.
• Carries out general cleaning duties and routines, including scraping, washing, stacking and storage of dishes.
• Practices and maintains established standards for cleanliness and sanitation throughout all aspects of food preparation and service as required by the health department.
• Promotes and tracks a la carte and wine service sales in accordance with prescribed procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for ensuring that all Resident Accounts documentation are fully completed and comply with Sienna and Legislative (MOH / RHA) guidelines, that all services are outlined and agreed to writing, and that all the documents are duly executed.
• Maintains accounting schedules as required and provides to Support Services at month-end.
• Responsible for managing and administering the reception/concierge functions within the site.
• Responsible for confirming the accuracy and completeness of the site’s bi-weekly payroll utilizing standard Ultipro reports, processing checklists and defined audits in advance of payroll submission. (i.e., completion of manager time approvals and PTO request approvals, completion of new hires in Ultipro, completion of time edits, etc.)
• Responsible for ordering administrative supplies and for equipment purchases in adherence with Sienna guidelines and policies.
• Maintains Sienna Policy Manuals, ensuring new and updated policies and procedures are properly filed in the manuals, that the manuals are up-to-date and that they are available to Team members as required.
